Staffordshire Mochaware Mocha Tankard With Marbleized Design Ca. 1800 Creamware

Up for auction we have this Staffordshire Creamware Mocha tankard with marbleized designs. This is a very early example that probably dates circa 1800. Displays wonderfully with a older professional repair to a hairline and what looks like some crows feet that were covered on the base. It is slightly stained and could benefit from a good cleaning and new modern repair. This piece also shows some sandy finish to the glaze from the factory. The glaze is still quite shiny. I know this sounds like a lot but we just like to be fully accurate. It still really is a very nice mug. It measures 4 1/2” tall by 3 3/8” in diameter.
